General Election UK style.

We are now less that five weeks away from our General Election.  Yes we have the dubious pleasure of turning out to vote for the lies that we like the most.  Or at least most of us do.  To be a little different I will, as usual, totally waste my vote.  I will do this by voting Liberal Democrat, they have no chance of getting voted in, and they certainly have no chance of returning a member of parliament for this constituency.  But given all this I will still vote for them.  Its not that I like them, I don't know what their policies are and I don't know the name of the candidate for the area, further more I don't care a jot.  My vote can be seen as a protest vote but it's not really that, what I don't want is a strong government with a large majority.  What I would really like is a repeat of the government we have had for the last five years, a coalition and that is what my vote is about.  A coalition has to negotiate thereby avoiding the excesses of a power crazed leader bulldozing through any legislation they can think up.  But it will soon be over and we won't be subject to the pathetic wrangling that we are getting put through at the moment.  The sooner its over the better.
